2. Opposition,
stop criticisms - Rev. Kwarteng
Thursday, 13 December

The opposition parties
in Parliament have been asked to do away with the policy of opposing every
government policy and rather contribute to national development. "I must
say the way opposition parties in Ghana are conducting themselves makes it very
doubtful whether at all they are ready to contribute to achieving any
significant economic development in the face of opposing every policy and moves
of the government," the Executive Director of the Gospel Evangelical

Months after
investigations, The Gospel Evangelical Crusades and Providence (GOEVAC-PFG) has
launched a report which raises lots of questions about the 'forceful'
retirement of Dr Kofi Kesse Manfo, the former Deputy Inspector General of
Police In-Charge of Operations.
The controversy
surrounding the retirement age of the Police capo appears to be far from over
as latest reports make startling revelations of underhand dealings at the
Police Headquarters. The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) GOEVAC-PFG, which
launched the report, has made copies available to the Chairman of the Police
Council, Mr. J.S Addo and the Interior Minister for their perusal and... read more
5. K. K Manfo
does not deserve to be victimized
30/08/2006
He is arguably the
most academically-decorated police officer in the country. Even those who do
not like him admit that he is a true professional. There is not a single
blemish on his record. Not a stain of corruption. Not a hint of arrogance,
extravagance or dereliction of duty. His, is excellence in service. You may not
like how he looks but you can't fault him on his work.
However, there is
clear evidence of an orchestrated move to get Dr Kofi Kesse Manfo out of the
way. Some may be doing this under an honest but false impression that the
decision to retire him next year is proper in fact and in law. read more
